About Dicing an Onion

Incidentally, this technique also works with shallots.



And for the record, it is exceedingly difficult to dice an onion on camera, either slowly or gracefully.

    I use essentially the same technique, except I have had to hold it tightly together with my left-hand fingers because I never before considered leaving the root-end on to hold the layers together. You are BRILLIANT!
